Samanto has been our companion for many years during long, cold working days in our unheated workshop. We spent entire days sewing, kept warm by this garment, which is at the same time versatile, cozy, and warm.
Samanto features double front pockets and an adjustable cord lock at the hem. It is a warm piece that does not sacrifice comfort and is easy to layer. Samanto’s blend of wool, cotton, and synthetic fibers helps retain warmth while managing perspiration. The polyester on the inside dries quickly, while the wool on the outside absorbs water vapor and allows it to slowly evaporate into the air.
Regenerated carded wool is part of the traditional production process of the Tuscany region, where the fabric is made, dating back to 1850. Today, it also represents a modern, environmentally friendly practice within the textile industry. The fabric is completely recycled and GRS-certified. The recycling process is entirely mechanical, with no added chemicals.
Used garments, sourced from all over the world, are sorted and selected by quality, color, and fiber content, initiating the regeneration process.
