CD | blackbody_radiation | speculations

A recording of a live, improvised longform journey into location, texture, pulses and granular soundworlds landing in at 42 minutes. Performed amongst artworks within a spatial intervention by the duo alpha_alpha – the recording captures a form finding, real-time exploration of timbre and texture: sustained drones, location recordings, delicate passages, and seismic low end episodes. Poised with the right balance – meditative, hypnotic and granular. Nested fugues, within fugues. Something other...Speculations! 

Monoprinted, limited edition of 20 CD-R's. Individually stamped cardboard slipcase, hand numbered. Rescaled exhibition poster of the event and liner note sheet as inserts. Assembled by the artist. Concert took place as part of the closing evening of 'Speculations towards the Orthonormal' at LEW 1, Darmstadt, 22nd November 2025.
